| SISTERHOOD OF CONVOLUTED THINKERS - "Important
Noises For Kids To Learn How To Make" (Jaboni Youth Issue #4) |
I
was away for this week, so Shane
stepped up and supplied this very track, which I had been
hoping to hear for some time.
What might be confusing to
some is that on SOCT's discography
page the song is listed as follows:
My
Mean Mustard: Compilation Cassette 1996
Exclusive Track "Songs Children Can Make With Their
Mouths"
Everything in the above paragraph
is incorrect!
You might be thinking, "perhaps
it's a different song?", but if it were true My Mean
Mustard (now My
Mean Magpie) would know something about it. And I
don't.
So proper credit for the
track finally comes out.

Jaboni Youth was a fanzine
started by Alec
Hanley Bemis who now writes for the LA Times, The
New Yorker, etc. along with running a record label called
Brassland.
This issue is fairly well
known as many of the bands had some pretty strong followings...
along with a guest
column by The Mountain Goats John
Darnielle.
