Though
most of the songs on the CD were written by The
Beat Happening, Fortune Cookie Prize had a few exceptions:
"Tribute" by The Cannanes and "I Love Calvin"
by Unrest.
80% of the CD proceeds and
100% of the LP proceeds to went to an organisation called
Sasha Bruce.
The proceeds were at least $15,000!
"SASHA BRUCE YOUTHWORKS:
a safe place for youth-at-risk in Washington, DC - a city
where young black males have nearly as great a chance
of going to jail or getting shot than finishing high school.
With limited resources, Sasha Bruce provides support and
guidance to teens in times of need." - from

The Unrest lyrics are mostly
nonsense borrowing heavily from "Nancy Sin",
mis-heard Beat Happening lyrics, and a structure not unlike
a Beat Happening song.
