This weeks entry is an installment from Eggs courtesy of Andrew Russ who has loaned me his original tapes so that my digitized versions can be of the highest quality. Over the next few weeks I'll be struggling to get all of the tapes finished, meaning there will be a flurry of live tracks.

Though not the strongest song of the set, this song appeared on none of their albums thus making it's unavailability the deciding factor in posting it here. The song is also among the many Andrew Beaujon songs that are critical of the business side of the music industry. [One was featured as Teenbeat MP3 14.]

"Girl (The World Needs Folk Singers)" (my title, probably not theirs) was recorded during the Teenbeat Circus Tour at The The Bottom of the Hill in San Fransico, California October 11, 1994.

There was a time when Andrew was signed to Warner, but the album never saw the light and Eggs had dissolved. The Warner album does exist (on DAT format only) so it may see the light of day, but not for awhile. I will simply wait.
