SYNTHETIC SOCKS "Ho, Ho, Ho" (TB 15)

The second in a short series of Christmas songs.

Songs from this cassette turned up as MP3 #5 on this site and, while searching the web for info, I found a few more links to audio files here covering a few of the prank calls and the song "Baked Potatoe" [sic].

Synthetic Socks is the work of Aaron Freeman (better known as Gene Ween) who had already met Mickey Melchiondo (Dean Ween) in a in New Hope, Pennsylvania high school typing class three years prior, in 1984.

The same year that Ween would release their first cassette, The Crucial Squeegie Lip, Teenbeat released Aaron's bedroom recordings, which at times featured the talents of Mickey, Ken Everett, Prince, and the cryptic "Pine Sheep."

EACH WEEK THIS SPACE WILL CONTAIN A TEENBEAT RARITY, COVER SONG, LIVE TRACK OR FILE RELATING TO THE MUSIC OF THE TEENBEAT LABEL. Please support the works of the artists by purcahasing through Teenbeat
