James McNew is probably better known as the bassist for Yo La Tengo. Though Yo La Tengo has been his primary focus he has still found time for his solo 4-track recordings, one of which was a cover of Versus' "Flax". McNew joined Yo La Tengo for their fifth album "May I Sing With Me" and the lineup of the band has remained unchanged.

Though International Airport is out of print, Versus' version can be found on Dead Leaves (TB 162).
